Initial Idea

This is my initial idea for the front cover of my college magazine, I have decided to have the masthead in the colour of blue as it is the most dominant colour on the picture (same colour as the folder) which will tie it into magazine. I have decided to not use the purple coloured boxes to feature other coverlines/ pull quotes as this may confuse the reader as to which text to read first and will make the main coverline harder to identify. When deciding on my initial idea I thought by using them it would relate them to the models scarf, however it makes the magazine look over crowded and harder to read. Instead I will choose to just use text to link in with the magazine rather then a large box.
