Front Cover Draft 4
This is my final front cover draft for my magazine. As red and black are typical conventions of a modern rock genre i have decided to use these as a part of my magazine. I like these colours as they contrast well. I have made my masthead large and sticking with the left third. Although I prefer this draft out of all my drafts, this draft would still need improving as i have not included a main coverline or various other posters that would appeal and attract my target audience. After getting feedback from my target audience, I have decided to base my final front cover around this image as it looks the most conventional of a modern rock music magazine and as my target audience mainly all preferred this one.
Front Cover Draft 3
This is my third draft for my front cover. This is my least favourite design out of my front cover drafts as it does not really resemble a modern rock magazine. The draft also looks quite plain and the colours do not really blend well together. Also the masthead looks quite out of place and looks as though it was only placed there to fill up space. I like the font type on this draft as it loos quite scruffily written and a bit edgy.
Front Cover Draft 2
This is my second draft for my music magazine front cover. I like the contrast of the yellow and grey as it is clear to see the text and the image stands out well and as these colourings are not a typical convention of a music magazine. I also like this font style as it will also connote well with the rock genre due to the edgy, destroyed look. Although i like this magazine front cover, it appears to look to dark and does not nesecarily look like a typical convention of a modern rock magazine. To improve this draft i would have to add more images and ensure that the fonts/colours did not overpower the overall look of the music magazine.

Colour Schemes
I have researched different colour schemes
for my music magazine and have decided to use contrasting colours as although rock music normally has connotations of dark, grungey colours, modern rock music magazines often have quite bright colourings to catch the audiences attention.

Double Page Spread Mock Up Using Found Images
This is my first double page spread which is based from my initial ideas. I have used found images from Google featuring Hayley Williams from 'Paramore' which links the double page spread back to my initial first front cover mock up.

Price
After researching three magazines in the chosen genre of my magazine I decided to price my magazine at the average weekly cost of a magazine (£2.20) and therefore, there will be 52 issues a year to purchase. This is because
- Kerrang! which is a weekly magazine has priced their magazine at £2.20.
- NME which is also a weekly magazine has priced their magazine also at £2.20
- Rock Sound is a monthly magazine priced at £3.99 per issue.
- From the poll and focus group I have found that the maxinum pricing for a weekly magazine that a reader would buy would be £2.50 whereas for a monthly magazine the maxinum that a reader would buy the magazine for would be £4.00
